Image Analyses Dawn of the Dead (2004)

In this scene from Dawn of the Dead (2004) (DotD) indicates how this film is a gory horror movie, by the way Zack Snyder has used so much body horror. At this point of the film the few that have survived are in the mall trying to think of a plan to escape. But when Norma gets bitten Ana has no choice but to kill her to save the rest of the group, Here, Ana is playing the role of the final girl as she is not afraid to help protect the group. In this scene you can also tell that there is a strong theme which is violence as the only way to be free from these quick smart monsters is to kill them and they appear to be hard to kill so it becomes quite violent in parts. This image is a great way to show how quickly people would turn on each other once they have turned into a zombie.
